The Inclusive, Educational and Cultural Activities Program of the Self-Help Promotion Program started its operation in the spring of 2016 in Rapsani of the Municipality of Tempe. The Self-Help Promotion Program is a program of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and its main axis of operation is, on the one hand, the promotion of self-help / all-help practices in the treatment of addictions and other psychosocial problems and, on the other hand, the utilization of these practices for social and community development.
Based on the above rationale, the Self-Help Promotion Program:
1) supports people with a drug, alcohol and gambling addiction problem and their relatives
2) develops actions to train health workers in critical approaches to the field of addictions
3) develops actions aimed at the activation and development of the local communities targeted
In this context, the Inclusive, Educational and Cultural Activities Program was developed which aims to host, design and expand the support, education and community development actions of the Self-Help Promotion Programme.
The central objective of the Program is the implementation of cultural, ecological, folkloric, historical and folkloric activities that aim both to engage and connect the members of the Program with the community of Rapsani and to contribute to the promotion, evolution and development of the Program.
